Art walk Friday/ Justin’s departure shindig

Thursday, December 6th, 2007

How about that last Friday, eh? Rome was alive with life and full of cheer. There was a variety of music shows all over town. The opening reception for the Holiday Tour of Art Spaces (or whatever it’s called) was sweet. Jody and Britton put on a great show as always and the faces were all smiling. Thanks for the kins hospitality, Joe.

After that we meandered up to the 400 Block Bar to check out Atomic Boogie, who was smokin’ hot as usual. There were a lot of good faces in that crowd too, some of which I have not seen in quite awhile. It was good seeing everybody.

The rest of the weekend was ultra chill. Scott Awesome and I went over to Old Burnt Turn Slick’s house to record some tracks, which was ultra fun. Then we went to Justin’s going away party, which was also a rearing good time. Too bad Justin left us, since he and Jody played a big role in the the rise of the Moon Roof Bar. That just means I got somebody to harass in Birmingham.

Sunday, was even more chill than the rest of the weekend. Awesome and I chilled out w/ Old Burnt some more and the Elegant Hipster came back form Atlanta. We grubbed on some wings at Jeffersons and then went back the the Hipsters to start a fire and shoot some hoops. Then we watched Planet Earth on the National Geographic channel (I think). Man, that show blew me away.

Anyway, hope everyone else had a great weekend as well. Catch yall later.
