Britton Davidson is one of the most
talented individuals that I have met,
and one of the most modest. When I asked
him to give me a brief biography of his
past, he simply replies with "Eh, I'm
not very good at talking about myself,"
which I respect because sometimes people
can't shut up about themselves. So, I
figured that I would just tell you what
I know about him. |

Besides being a very kind and generous friend, Britton is an accomplished
viola player who performs with the
Chattanooga Symphony in Tennessee, the
Huntsville Symphony Orchestra in
Alabama, etc. He was also a member of
the unlikely local chamber trio, Mata
Luna, with Jody Howard and Shane Duvall.
Mata Luna is/was like nothing you will
hear in North Georgia. Unfortunately they slowed down a bit
since Duvall moved to the Czech Republic
with his wife, but Jody and Britton
still perform from time to time in the
Schroeder's courtyard or at Rome Area
Council for the Arts events. In Athens,
Britton and
Jody also worked together in the 90's
experimental/some-other-kind-of- band, Daddy
Upright, which sounds really cool on
tape. |

In
his free time, Britton raises wild dingoes in
his Downtown Rome domicile. But recently, he has
been experimenting with photography, and its
digital exploitation through programs like
Photoshop. He works layers upon layers until he
finds what he's looking for. Here are some
samples of his recent work, one of which spawned
from a night of raunchy rock in the
Awesome household. |

Britton lays low for the most part.
You never can tell when he'll pop up for a performance
in the local evenings, but you will know if you
keep close tabs on this website, hopefully. |
